My own camera has a FOV of 70deg (they state - can't be certain how accurate that figure is) and it's an 8mp sensor.

In terms of focal length, if you take a 50mm camera lens off a 35mm camera (full frame sensor) and put it on a camera with a smaller sensor it will be a telephoto with a much narrower FOV (field of view)
